Giuseppe Sannino was sixteen when he landed in New York. A harbour watchman taught him to repair watches and gave him his first tools. In 1908 he opened a shop in Brooklyn, where his son Italo was born. In the 1920s the family returned to Campania. In 1955 Giuseppe and Italo opened the jewellery shop on Via Roma. After them, the counter passed to Franco.
